A champion of deep-tech and industrial innovation, Mr. Joseph’s leadership extends beyond infrastructure. He is the Chairman and Co-founder of Shelcel Biozeen Technologies Private Limited (Biozeen), an advanced upstream biotechnology enterprise headquartered in Bengaluru, and has previously served as a Director at Sartorius India Private Limited (a subsidiary of Germany’s multinational giant, Sartorius AG).
At the helm of PJB Group, Mr. Joseph focuses on engineering sustainable growth roadmaps, driving consistent financial performance, and cultivating high-value client alliances built on total transparency. As Vice President of Technology & Projects, Mr. Varghese oversees all business unit operations at PJB Engineers, driving strategic growth through advanced technology adoption and engineering innovation. Holding a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and bringing over 35 years of professional expertise, he forms the backbone of PJB’s transportation division, specializing in bridges and complex structural assets.
Mr. Varghese began his career as an engineer with Indian Railways before joining PJB to pioneer high-impact infrastructure advancements. His technical and commercial acumen has been instrumental in delivering several of Bengaluru’s iconic transit landmarks, including the BEL Circle Grade-Separated Junction, Rajajinagar Flyover, ORR Nagawara Junction Flyover, Doddanekundi Junction Grade Separator, and the Manyata Tech Park flyovers.
Highly decorated for his contributions to the transport sector, his excellence has been recognized with accolades from the Government of Karnataka and the Institution of Engineers (India). Beyond project delivery, he brings a comprehensive perspective balancing commercial viability with environmental sustainability, and serves as the Chair of PJB’s young employee mentorship program, actively shaping the next generation of engineering talent.

Mr. Kuriakose is a distinguished executive leader in the infrastructure development sector, bringing over 30 years of deep industry expertise, strategic vision, and operational excellence to his role as Vice President – Operations at PJB. In this pivotal leadership capacity, he holds complete management and operational oversight over PJB’s nationwide project portfolio, ensuring top-tier execution, safety compliance, and sustained organizational performance across all regional initiatives.
His career with PJB stands as a compelling testament to dedication, continuous leadership growth, and professional excellence. Having originally joined the organization as an intern, Mr. Kuriakose steadily advanced through a progressive series of key operational, managerial, and executive leadership positions. Over his distinguished tenure, he has cultivated an intricate mastery of complex infrastructure ecosystems, with primary expertise focusing on Airports, Environmental initiatives, and Industrial projects, alongside critical transport and road infrastructure developments throughout Karnataka.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kuriakose has played an instrumental role in delivering high-impact, mega-scale infrastructure developments. His contributions to Karnataka’s power sector are particularly immense, having served as an indispensable force behind major power projects executed across North Karnataka. Additionally, he was the visionary mastermind behind the new South Secondary Access road connecting to Bangalore International Airport. His capability to successfully execute highly intricate assignments has solidified robust, long-standing relationships with key clients, including Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), Karnataka Power Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, and JSW.

As Chief Projects Officer, Mr. George directs the strategic execution and operational management of PJB Engineers’ comprehensive transportation portfolio, including high-speed railways, national highways, and complex bridge networks. A highly accomplished Civil Engineer, he anchors PJB's technical delivery by blending advanced structural design principles with robust project management frameworks. His leadership ensures that massive, logistically demanding transit initiatives are executed with precision, strict quality controls, and optimal resource allocation across all project phases.
With an exceptional track record of delivering large-scale, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure systems, Mr. George excels at coordinating cross-functional engineering teams from early-stage conceptual planning through to final construction commissioning. Prior to joining PJB Engineers, he spent years collaborating with globally renowned Fortune 500 engineering consultancies, including Jacobs and Hatch. Through these tenures, he accumulated valuable international exposure and managed high-stakes asset delivery across Canada, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
His formidable global portfolio includes contributions to world-renowned landmarks and mega-projects, such as Yas Island, the Ferrari World complex, the Yas Marina F1 Circuit, the Shahama–Saadiyat Highway, and the strategic Qatar-Bahrain Causeway Highway. This extensive international experience enables him to introduce cutting-edge methodologies and highly innovative structural solutions to regional infrastructure development.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Transportation and Construction Management from the University of Toronto, Mr. George is an active member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He remains deeply committed to advancing sustainable engineering practices that yield long-term socio-economic value for clients.
Technical Advisor
35 years with the Government of Karnataka, culminating as Technical Director and Chief Engineer at Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL).
Mr. Venugopal is a distinguished Civil Engineering professional with a stellar career spanning core technical design, project execution, and top-tier executive leadership. Holding a postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Bangalore University, he currently serves as the Technical Advisor for PJB Engineers Pvt. Ltd., where he brings his vast engineering acumen and strategic governance to complex infrastructure initiatives.
Beginning his professional journey in the private sector, Mr. Venugopal soon transitioned into public sector service with the Government of Karnataka. Over an extraordinary career of more than 35 years in Civil Engineering, he held numerous key roles before attaining superannuation from Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL). Throughout his tenure at KPCL, he served in high-profile executive leadership capacities, including Chief Engineer and Technical Director, leaving behind an indelible mark on Karnataka's power and civil infrastructure landscape.
Across his career, Mr. Venugopal has successfully led and delivered a vast array of multifaceted projects executed under both EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and non-EPC contract frameworks. His technical repertoire encompasses the end-to-end design and construction of power houses for both Hydro and Thermal Power Stations, alongside critical specialized infrastructure required to support power facilities.
His engineering achievements include constructing extensive Railway Siding systems with integrated Permanent Way (P.way) and signaling, prestressed concrete (PSC) I-Girder bridges, barrages, access roads, and major bridge networks. He has executed massive hydraulic and environmental civil works, including embankments for raw water ponds holding capacities up to 0.53 TMC, ash ponds with 2.5 MCUM capacity, and cross-country water supply pipelines measuring 1351 mm in diameter.
Mr. Venugopal’s legacy combines technical precision, large-scale execution expertise, and executive leadership, making him a cornerstone of technical direction for modern infrastructure engineering.
