Construction of Flyover at the intersection of ORR Nagawara – Thanisandra road along ORR at Nagawara Junction.

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION

The Flyover at Nagawara – Thanisandra along ORR was constructed by Bangalore Development Authority with the aim of reducing traffic congestion on the Outer Ring Road arising from the Software hub.

Outcomes and achievements:
1. Nagawara Junction is a very important and busy junction in North western Part of Bangalore City. This Junction is located at about Ch.10.60 km of Outer Ring Road.

2. The flyover reduces the traffic congestion towards Hebbal, K.R Puram, Nagawara and Thanisandra Junctions.

PJB ROLES

We have executed the work as prime contractor and as per client requirement. In this project we have executed Pile foundations, Construction of PSC I girders and box girders with post tensioning, Retaining walls and Ramps with RCC fascia panels, Road work etc.,

Key Items Delivered:
• The Nagawara flyover is a split flyover with central BRTS lane at Nagawara Junction.
• The flyover has 2 x 8 nos of 20m span executed with precast pretension I girder sections with cast in situ deck slab on top and 2 x 1 no 40m span PSC post tensioned box girder structure.
• The total length of flyover is around 980 m with approaches done with embankment supported by RE panels.
• The embankment quantity was around 20,000 cum and the total length of flexible pavement constructed including the service roads was around 2.00 kms.
