Construction of Flyover along ORR at Doddanekundi Junction (Ch.22.60km), Bengaluru

The Flyover at Doddanekundi along ORR was constructed by Bangalore Development Authority with the aim of reducing traffic congestion on the Outer
Ring Road arising from the Bagmane World Technology Centre (IT Park).

Outcomes and achievements:
1. The Doddnekundi Flyover, which was built served the purpose to ease the traffic on the ORR Stretch.

2. The flyover considerably reduces the travel time between K R Puram and Marathahalli.

PJB ROLES

We have executed the work as prime contractor and as per client requirement. In this project we have executed Pile foundations, Construction of precast pre-tensioned I girders, cast-in-situ PSC box girder, RCC Retaining walls, Road work etc.,

Key Items Delivered:

• The Doddanekundi flyover has a 2 x 3 lane road structure with a total width of 2 x 10.5m carriageway + 2 x 1m for crash barriers.
• The flyover has 2 x 13 nos of 20m span executed with precast pretension I girder sections withcast in situ deck slab on top and 2 x 1 no 50m span PSC post tensioned box girder structure.
• The total length of flyover is around 807 m on LHS and 744 m on RHS side with approaches done with embankment supported by RE panels.
• The embankment quantity was around 28,800cum and the total length of flexibl pavement constructed including the service roads was around 2.55kms.
