An entrepreneur and a visionary leader, Mr. Baby Joseph – the Chairman and Managing Director of PJB Group – brings in more than 40 years of experience in the Infrastructure Development sector. He has an extensive expertise in delivering complex infrastructure and resourcing projects and leading businesses in many sectors and across numerous geographies within the country. He stresses operational excellence in accordance with the ethics, purpose and values that define PJB Engineers’ culture and market leadership. An active advocate of business and innovation, Mr. Joseph also serves as the Chairman and co-founder of Bangalore Biotech Labs Private Ltd (Biozeen), an upstream biotechnology company based in Bangalore, India. He was also serving as a director at Sartorius India Private Ltd, a subsidiary of the German company, Sartorius AG.

As the Chairman and Managing Director, he is responsible for appraising the strategic direction of the Company and in developing a blueprint for sustainable growth and maintaining consistent cash flow and earnings. Mr. Joseph is committed to sustainable revenue growth and client management, alongside pursuing his passion for bringing in new clients and driving strategic initiatives. He considers maintaining open and honest communications as the building blocks to a strong client relationship. Mr. Joseph holds a Bachelors degree in science from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala.

As the Vice President – Technology & Projects, Mr. Varghese oversees the activities of PJB’s all business units with a focus on strategic growth in terms of technology adaptation, building client relationships by advising clients on project solutions upholding the client’s interests. He also serves as a chair of our young employee mentorship program.

With a Masters in structural engineering and up to 35 years of experience, he forms the backbone of our transportation business with prime focus on bridges and related structures. Mr. Varghese also directs and monitors the company wide technology focus and adoption. He has bagged several awards for his contribution to the transport infrastructure development sector from Govt. of Karnataka and Indian Institute of Engineers. With a strong background in project management, consulting and structural engineering, Mr. Varghese delivers a solid understanding, broad perspective and distinct insights of the technical, commercial, and environmental considerations that constitute the foundation for creating and implementing sustainable project solutions.

Mr. Varghese started his career in the Indian Railways as an Engineer. Embarking on technology advancement and challenging opportunities, Mr. Varghese joined PJB to make a difference. Over the years, he has designed and executed several vital public and private infrastructure projects across the region. He has been instrumental in realising some of the major projects like BEL Circle – grade separated junction, Rajajinagar Flyover, ORR – Nagawara Junction Flyover, Grade Separator at Doddanekundi Junction (ORR) & Manyata Tech Park flyovers in Bangalore.

Mr. Kuriakose brings to the table more than 30 years of experience in Infrastructure development sector with his focus mainly on Airports, Environment & Industrial Projects and also some of the critical transport (roads) projects in Karnataka. He is currently performing as the PJB’s Vice President – Operations and is responsible for the management and oversight of PJB’s nationwide operations. Mr. Kuriakose joined PJB as an intern and has held a series of leadership, management and operational positions throughout PJB over the course of his successful tenure here. His foremost interest is building and leading teams to instrument large, challenging, and intricate projects with the utmost safety and quality. He is enthusiastic about opportunities to mentor smart, hard-working young people and relishes watching them develop into competent & successful professionals.

His contribution to Karnataka’s power sector is immense and is an inevitable part of the mega power projects executed in North Karnataka. He is also the mastermind behind the new South Secondary Access road to Bangalore International Airport. A people’s champion, Mr. Kuriakose strives to generate employment opportunities across sections of the society. He has executed many challenging projects with our key clients – Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), Karnataka Power Corporation Limited, and Indian Oil Corporation & JSW. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala.

Mr. George currently performs as the Chief Projects Officer at PJB and oversees the efficient management of all transportation projects related to Roads, Railways & Bridges. He is a dynamic and enthusiastic Civil Engineer with sound experience in structural design (specialised in bridges) and implementation of transport infrastructure development projects. He has a solid background working on various critical and challenging multi-billion dollar projects, and in coordinating the project phases from design through completion of construction. He has previously worked with fortune 500 companies like the Jacobs & Hatch, and brings in his global experience working in Qatar, Canada & UAE. He has been involved in some of the world’s landmark projects like the Yas Island in UAE, Qatar Bahrain Causeway Highway in Qatar, Ferrari World, Yas Marina F1 Circuit, and Shahama Saadiyat Highway in UAE. He is a staunch promoter of sustainable solutions for infrastructure projects and strives to bring a positive environmental, societal and economic difference to our clients and their projects.

Mr. George holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Transportation & Construction Management from the University of Toronto. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Project Management Institute (PMI).

Mr. Venugopal is a distinguished Civil Engineering professional who has proved his excellence in various roles ranging across core technical to top leadership positions. He holds a post graduate degree in Civil Engineering from Bangalore University and is currently working as the technical advisor for PJB Engineers Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Venugopal started his career in the private sector. Soon, he joined a public sector firm serving the Government of Karnataka and attained superannuation from Karnataka Power Corporation Limited after serving 35+ years in various capacities in the field of Civil Engineering. He has accomplished various projects under EPC contracts and non-EPC contracts involving Design and Construction of Power Houses for Hydro and Thermal Power Stations, along with Infrastructure required for Power Stations like Railway Siding including P.way and Signaling, PSC I Girder Bridges, Embankment for construction of Raw Water Pond of capacity of 0.53 TMC, Ash Ponds of capacity 2.5 MCUM, Cross Country Water Supply Line of diameter 1351 mm, Construction of Barrages, Roads and Bridges and much more. He has served Karnataka Power Corporation Limited in the roles of Technical Director, Chief Engineer and other significant positions before retiring from his duties.
